remedium.ruOn May 15-16, 2012, the II International conference "Models of innovative development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry on the basis of universities as integrators of science and industry" was held at MIPT in Dolgoprudny, where the grand opening of the Biobusinessincubator, which will begin the formation of a biopharmaceutical cluster in the Moscow region, took place.

The conference was attended by heads of Russian companies, representatives of development institutes, as well as well-known Russian and foreign scientists working at leading universities in Russia and abroad. The issues of coordination and distribution of labor among participants of the innovation system in the Russian Federation; mass training of technological entrepreneurs on the basis of leading universities, models for the development of university science in post-industrial conditions; cluster approach as a basis for ensuring the competitiveness of the region; state regulation of the industry and programs to support innovative projects, issues of implementation of the Federal Target Program "Development of the pharmaceutical and medical Industry of the Russian Federation Federation until 2020 and beyond".

The Northern biopharmaceutical cluster is being formed on the basis of MIPT, which is being created within the framework of the Federal Target Program "Development of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry of the Russian Federation until 2020 and beyond", which is scheduled to start in 2014.

The Biobusinessincubator will create corporate laboratories of cluster members, host the first startups, which will have to gain momentum by 2014 and become part of the biopharmaceutical corps. During these 2 years, algorithms and methodology of cooperation between science and industry will be worked out in practice. Already in the first year of the formation of the Biobusinessincubator, it became obvious that the cluster approach can be effectively implemented in practice and contribute to the modernization of the pharmaceutical industry in Russia.

But already today, the conference participants will be able to get acquainted with the laboratories of famous invited scientists, as well as the biobusinessincubator that is opening, where the first small innovative enterprises and corporate laboratories should be created as a prototype of the future Center," Denis Manturov, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, noted in his speech.
