Development and production of innovative drugs in Russia

The International Forum of the Adam Smith Institute "Development and production of innovative drugs in Russia" will be held in Moscow, November 17-18, 2010. Based on the success of the Russian Pharmaceutical Forum and the CIS Pharmaceutical Forum, this new event will be an important addition to the Adam Smith Institute's portfolio of pharmaceutical forums.

Why is this Forum relevant? The need to develop innovative drugs in Russia cannot be overestimated.

In accordance with the developed strategy for the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Russia for the period up to 2020, Russian medicines should account for at least half of all available on the pharmaceutical market. To achieve such a result, first of all, special attention should be paid to stimulating the development and production of innovative medicines in Russia.

What to expect at the forum in 2010?

In the program, we reflected the wishes, requirements and questions that we received during the market research. The event will take place over two days. More than 40 speakers from among the most respected leaders of leading Russian and international pharmaceutical companies, government officials, CRO (Risk Management Directors, Chief Risk Officers), leading financiers and consultants of the sector will discuss in detail the most important issues on the development of the sector in the current conditions.

The program of the Forum-2010 includes interesting sessions, including:Creating conditions and mechanisms for the innovative development of the Russian pharmaceutical industry: what are the goals set for the sector today, and what has been done to achieve them?
