From science to business

dear colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the Second International Forum "FROM SCIENCE TO BUSINESS" "Business in the development of innovation and infrastructure", which will be held in St. Petersburg on May 14-16, 2008.

The Forum is an open dialogue between government agencies, business and science on the problems and prospects for the development of innovative organizations. The Forum is a meeting place for the "innovative East" and the "innovative West". We believe that the time has come to unite and constructively discuss and understand the mechanisms on which the innovative development of the state is based. To understand what world trends of the XXI century dictated the innovative development of civilization. The general leitmotif of the Second Forum will be a discussion of how the transition of commercial organizations to an innovative path of development is carried out.

The purpose of the Second Forum is to discuss the state, problems and trends of the participation of large, medium and small businesses in the formation of an innovative economy in close cooperation with the scientific and educational community and government authorities, overcoming unjustified disunity between them.

The program of the Second Forum is aimed at discussing a set of issues covering all key areas of activity of large, medium and small businesses aimed at promoting the innovative development of their countries. Administrative, organizational and legislative aspects of the development of cooperation between science and business will be considered.

Much attention is planned to be paid to the inclusion of small and medium-sized innovative entrepreneurship in new, promising forms of interaction between business and the state, such as public-private partnerships, territorial industrial clusters, special economic zones. Special emphasis will be placed on the discussion of the problems of personnel formation for the development of innovative activities. The successful experience of cooperation of various industrial companies with research institutes and universities from Russia and leading world countries on the introduction of innovative high-tech ideas will be presented.

Key reports of the world's leading experts in the field of innovation process implementation from America, Europe and Asia, as well as heads of major Russian technology companies, representatives of Russian ministries and departments, regional authorities responsible for the development and implementation of projects in Russia will allow participants to compare the world and Russian experience. The businesslike, creative atmosphere of the round tables will give you the opportunity to get information about innovative projects carried out in Russia, learn the mechanisms and conditions of cooperation between the state and business, personally get acquainted with the heads of state programs and projects. The virtual exhibition of projects will allow investors and potential users of innovative infrastructure to find partners in specific projects.

We hope that our Forum will become an important milestone in the development of mutually beneficial partnership between business, science and authorities in the formation of an innovative economy.
