International partnership forum "Life Sciences Invest" will be held in St. Petersburg
Partnering Russia». The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza St.Petersburg Airport Hotel. The Forum is held by order of the Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovation of St. Petersburg. The main organizer is the Non-profit Partnership "Medical and Pharmaceutical Projects. XXI century".
The forum served as an informational occasion for a press conference, the participants of which were Rimma Sachunova - Head of the Investment Policy and Innovation Department of the Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovation of St. Petersburg; Zakhar Golant – Chairman of the Board of NP "Medical and Pharmaceutical Projects XXI Century"; Chairman of the Board of the Union of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Clusters; Dmitry Chagin - Director of the Partnership, Pyotr Rodionov is the director of the Geropharm company; Dmitry Borisov is the commercial director of the Polisan company. The event received recognition and support from key Ministries for the pharmaceutical industry: the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. In particular, the forum will be held with the support of the Government of St. Petersburg.
"This forum is being held in our city for the third time and during this time has established itself as a successful and sought-after event in the field of pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology. The number of participants is growing every year. This is especially significant for St. Petersburg, because today the Life-science industry is one of the priorities. One of the main tasks is to replace imported medicines with Russian analogues. We have formed and successfully operate a cluster of pharmaceutical and medical industry, which includes more than 30 research institutes and educational institutions, as well as more than 145 manufacturing companies," commented Rimma Sachunova.
During its existence, this large-scale event for the pharmaceutical industry has become a successful international format aimed at activating business contacts between companies and investors in the field of "life sciences", including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and the medical industry. According to Zakhar Golant, today it is aimed at supporting relevant federal initiatives to develop this market as one of the key areas that ensure a comfortable life and stability, creating the basis for dynamic economic growth. "We continue to introduce the format of business communication of industry specialists, which is called partnering," says Zakhar Golant. Unlike most events held in this area, this year, in addition to organizing a platform for business communication, the forum will have a pronounced focus on conducting practical workshops on the most relevant topics for the industry: "Evaluation of medical technologies", "Information systems in healthcare", "International School of Clinical Radiology", "Implementation of a production quality control system as part of the transition to mandatory GMP standards", "Market Access". The target audience for these master classes are the chief doctors of medical institutions, health care organizers, representatives of companies participating in the market. According to Zakhar Golant, the transition to mandatory pharmaceutical production quality standards (GMP) and the introduction of 44-FZ (Federal Contract System) from January 1, 2014 gives special relevance to some sessions and master classes. Both of these documents have a serious impact on the market situation.
Another workshop, which the organizers of the forum told about, "Information systems in healthcare", will bring together leading specialists of the North-West in the field of healthcare informatization in the hall. Samson Group, Kraftway, SmartHealth Rus Ltd and others are ready to share their work experience and advantages of using free software in medical organizations. The International School of Clinical Radiology will work for two days at the forum, moderated by scientists and practitioners in the field of radiology from the Netherlands, the USA, Germany, Turkey, France, and Russia.
From the entire program of the forum, newsmakers highlighted the work of a round table dedicated to the problems of Women's health, which requires close attention not only from the press, but also from society as a whole. This round table is dedicated to discussing the initiative to introduce additions and changes to the federal and regional programs "Health Development". According to the director of the partnership Dmitry Chagin, the idea of developing a women's health program is based on the experience of two years of work of the charity diagnostic center for women's health "White Rose". The results obtained are carefully analyzed, proposals are formed to improve the system of medical care, leading experts and specialists are involved in the discussion and formation of proposals. "It is by software methods that social and demographic indicators can be adjusted, there are all opportunities for this in St. Petersburg. This initiative deserves support also at the federal level and in other regions of the Russian Federation."
