The entry of Russian nanotechnologies into the world market

The third Annual Scientific and Practical Conference of the Nanotechnology Society of RussiaThe first information message

The third annual scientific and practical conference of the Nanotechnology Society of Russia with international participation "The entry of Russian nanotechnology into the world market: the experience of success and cooperation, problems and prospects" is held on October 5-7, 2011 on the basis of St. Petersburg Academic University - Scientific and Educational Center of Nanotechnology of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg Engineering Club, Consortium "CODE", SNIO, (IN RESTEC, RSPP, CCI, RUSNANO – by agreement).

The Chairman of the Conference is Nobel Prize laureate, Honorary Member of the Nanotechnology Society of Russia (NOR), Rector of the Academic University, Academician Zh.I. Alferov.

The Chairman of the Program Committee of the Conference is the President of NOR, CEO of the NT–MDT Group of Companies, Doctor of Technical Sciences V.A. Bykov.

Executive Vice-President of NOR S.V. Kushnarev.

Purpose and objectives of the Conference:

To discuss and identify the main ways of cooperation and self-organization of domestic producers of intellectual nanotechnological property and directly nanoproducts to ensure its competitiveness and security, the formation of its demand and consumer. To develop additional recommendations for creating a favorable environment for developing technology business in the Russian Federation and for implementing the country's transition to an innovative economy. To demonstrate success in this field using examples of the domestic scientific and engineering community, including from St. Petersburg, as well as a number of foreign companies.

Conference Topics:application of nanotechnology and other high technologies in industry at the stage of transition to an innovative economy and the sixth technological order;

  • intellectual property and legal protection of scientific results;
  • the role of technical regulation and metrology for the promotion of nanoproducts on the world market;
  • forms, ways and incentives for commercialization of R&D results in the nanoindustry;
  • successful experience of organizations and companies in the nanoservices market;
  • the role of non-governmental organizations in creating favorable conditions for high-tech business and in international cooperation of nanotechnologists.

Conference Format:October 4 – arrival of nonresident participants

  • October 5 – opening, plenary session with customized reports, reception for participants
  • October 6 – parallel work of sections and round tables
  • October 7 – sections, company presentations and technical tours are held in parallel (morning); in the afternoon – the final plenary session, the closing of the Conference and the Organizational session of the NOR
  • A specialized exhibition and an exhibition of Conference posters is open on October 5-7
  • October 8 – cultural program and departure of nonresident participants

Key dates:until May 15 – preferential registration of participants (payment of registration fees) and presentation of abstracts of reports

  • until June 1 – submission of registration forms (including for issuing visas to foreign participants)
  • until September 1 – submission of extended abstracts
