XVII Russian National Congress "Man and Medicine"
It has become a good tradition to hold an annual prestigious medical forum – the Russian National Congress "Man and Medicine", whose authority has been achieved through high educational initiatives. The next XVII Congress will be held in Moscow on April 12-16, 2010.
The scientific program of the Congress will focus on the reorientation of the traditional medical care system to the provision of primary health care, ensuring an appropriate level of public health. The Congress will provide a unique opportunity for doctors, pharmacists, scientists of various specialties to meet and discuss topical issues of medical science and practice. The multidisciplinary program of the Congress will allow a wide range of specialists to gain modern knowledge. In order to attract young personnel to science, Contests of scientific works of young scientists and student scientific papers will traditionally be held within the Congress.
The rich business program of the Forum will include discussion of new achievements of domestic and world medical science in the field of high-tech methods of diagnosis and treatment of major human diseases, new infectious diseases, socially significant diseases. It is planned to consider new technologies for providing medical care to children and the elderly, to attract the attention of specialists to ensuring patient safety – the most important component of improving the quality of medical care and the doctor's responsibility for the patient's health. The high scientific and educational level of the Congress will ensure the participation of leading specialists in various fields of medicine, domestic and foreign scientists with a worldwide reputation.
A special feature of the Congress "Man and Medicine" is the use of modern technologies in the practice of teaching doctors. Conducting teleconferences and teleconferences with leading national leaders makes it possible to significantly expand the audience of listeners and familiarize specialists from many regions of Russia with the latest achievements of medicine.
