Competitive recruitment for the programs of the Institute of Bioinformatics 2021/22 academic year
The Institute of Bioinformatics invites students of secondary and senior courses of mathematical, technical and biological specialties to study at the programs of the Institute of Bioinformatics in the 2021/22 academic year.
The training is carried out in two directions:
- bioinformatics for biologists;
- algorithmic bioinformatics for computer scientists and mathematicians.
The training includes lectures, seminars, practical training and work on scientific projects. During the academic year, you can take part in excursions to biotechnological laboratories, a hackathon and a summer internship. Students will take classes in molecular biology and phylogenetics, statistics, algorithms and machine learning, programming in Python and R, as well as regular discussions of scientific articles and workshops on bioinformatics. You can study in St. Petersburg and online from other cities.
For students, undergraduates and postgraduates of the first year of full–time study - free of charge. Upon successful completion, a certificate of professional retraining of the Institute of Bioinformatics is issued.
To participate in the competitive selection , you need:
- fill out the questionnaire by March 1, 2021;
- take an introductory online course until March 10, 2021;
- solve an online test;
- to be interviewed in April-May 2021.
The Institute of Bioinformatics is a non–profit organization that trains highly qualified specialists in the field of bioinformatics and popularizes bioinformatics knowledge in Russia.
