Competition for the Moscow Government Prizes for Young scientists in 2015




The competition for the Moscow Government Prizes for young scientists is being held for the third time. 

According to the results of the 2013 competition, 500,000 rubles were awarded, and 10 prizes of 1 million rubles were paid for 2014. 

According to the decision of the metropolitan government, the next competition provides for an increase in the number of awards by 3 times. Thus, according to the results of the new competition, 31 prizes of 1 million rubles will be awarded.

The prize can be awarded to young scientists: researchers, scientific and pedagogical workers, postgraduates, doctoral students and specialists who conduct scientific and scientific and technical activities in scientific organizations and educational institutions of higher education; specialists who carry out experimental developments at Moscow enterprises. 

Young scientists can participate in the competition both individually and as part of a research team (no more than three people).

The age of the contestants must not exceed 35 years on the date of their nomination.

The candidate is not entitled to apply for a prize for the work for which he was nominated for or awarded another prize of state or regional significance in the field of research or development.

  • The amount of the premium: 
A total of 31 prizes are awarded, of which 13 are awarded in the field of research, 18 in the field of development. At the same time, no more than two prizes are awarded in each nomination.

The winners of the competition are paid a prize of 1 million rubles and awarded diplomas of the prize winners. If a prize is awarded to a research team, the prize is divided equally among the members of this team, diplomas are awarded to each of them.

The procedure for nominating candidates for participation in the competition: 
Candidates for participation in the competition are nominated by scientists (scientific, scientific and technical) councils, councils of young scientists and specialists of scientific organizations and educational institutions of higher education located in the territory of Moscow, heads of organizations located in the territory of Moscow and carrying out activities in the economic and social spheres.

The Council or the head of the organization nominating a candidate for participation in the competition prepares a submission, which is signed by the chairman of the council or the head of the organization. 

The Council, the head of the organization may nominate only one candidate (including as part of one research team) to participate in the competition for each of the nominations of the competition for the current year. 

The submission and the documents attached to it are sent to the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the City of Moscow. 

Terms of the competition: 
Acceptance of submissions for the Competition and the documents attached to them is carried out from September 23, 2015 to October 23, 2015 from Monday to Thursday from 9.00 to 16.00, on Friday from 9.00 to 15.00 (lunch from 12.00 to 12.45) at the address: Moscow, Voznesensky Lane, 22, office 516. 

Summing up the results of the Competition – no later than December 30, 2015.
