The Skolkovo Foundation has announced the start of collecting applications for the Startup Village competition. The largest startup event in Eastern Europe will take place on June 2-3 in the Skolkovo Innograd. It is expected that up to 10 thousand young entrepreneurs, students, scientists, representatives of the investment community from Russia and near and far abroad will take part in it.

Within the framework of the Startup Village conference, a competition of investment-attractive innovative projects will be held. The winners of the contest will receive cash prizes from 1 to 3 million rubles, all participants of the final – 300 thousand rubles.

The deadline for accepting applications is April 30, 2015.

"This year we expect a large influx of very good and high–quality projects," she said Sk.ru according to the strategy of the Skolkovo Foundation, Ekaterina Inozemtseva. – Just like last year, we have identified 29 main areas in which the competition will be held. Taking into account the huge influx of projects last year, a competition in the field of information technology was divided into two pavilions; a competition on space technologies was singled out separately and a competition on nuclear technologies separately. So there will be more projects, projects will become more interesting, and the winners will receive cash prizes in a larger volume than last year. I can already say that the prize for the first place this year is 3 million rubles, for the second – 2 million, for the third – 1 million rubles. This is three times more than a year ago."
