Why is a bad life better than a good one

How to become a mutant

Grigory Tarasevich, "Russian Reporter"

I'm going to teach you how to live for a long time and never get sick. I'm telling you the recipe:

  • living in nature;
  • indulge in spiritual practices;
  • do not inhale exhaust gases;
  • do not poison the body with pills;
  • move a lot;
  • eat only natural products, best grown independently;
  • don't overeat;
  • minimize the use of a computer and other devices emitting electromagnetic radiation;
  • in no case are there genetically modified organisms.

I suspect you believed me. Still, I would not believe it if I retell things that any normal person has long considered obvious. And now I will tell you how to realize this dream. You need to escape from this vile country urgently. There are places in the world that perfectly correspond to the principles of health and longevity. I list:

  • Mozambique;
  • Niger;
  • Democratic Republic of the Congo;
  • just the Congo;
  • South Sudan;
  • just sudan;
  • Nigeria;
  • Somalia.

If you haven't found these states on the map, I can throw in a dozen more. There are many places in the world where the majority of the population lives in villages, eats what has grown in the garden or on the nearest palm tree, drags water for several kilometers. The spiritual practices there are also all right – Islam on the left, Christianity on the right, and a priest with bells in the center. And no chemistry. They haven't even heard such a word there, since the majority of the population is limited to three or four classes. And even the village headman does not dare to pronounce "genetically modified organisms", fearing that this will cause evil spirits. Everything is perfect from the point of view of a healthy lifestyle.

Only here there is one trouble. The average inhabitant of some Mozambique lives only up to 47 years. In other countries, they die slightly later. And in those states where there is solid chemistry all around, and GMOs are eaten for both cheeks, they manage to have an average life expectancy of under 80 years.

This paradox haunts me. You only have time to realize the horror of transgenic food, vaccinations, radiation, synthetic drugs and other filth, as – bang – the UN Population Department issues another statistical table. And the whole ecological picture is collapsing like a house of cards.

Actually, why did I undertake to write about it? The other day, a letter came to my e-mail from some association of ecological agriculture (or the union of agricultural ecology – it doesn't matter). I was too lazy to work, and therefore I decided to read this letter.

"The large-scale spread of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in Russia, the safety of which has not yet been officially proven, can potentially lead to the development of infertility, a surge in oncological diseases, genetic deformities and allergic reactions, an increase in the mortality rate of humans and animals, a sharp reduction in biodiversity and environmental degradation. For example, during the period from 2000 to 2010, the number of cancer cases in Russia increased by 15.2%. It's not by chance..." – it was reported in the letter.

Precisely! Not by accident, but quite deliberately… For a split second, maybe even a whole second, I believed. All sorts of nightmares flashed before my eyes, like those rats whose photos were recently published by French biologists (they turned out there that eating transgenic soy turns a cute animal into a scary monster). Then I remembered the old idea that with the help of mutant plants, American imperialism wants to undermine the health of Russian citizens in order to win the geopolitical race.

Statistics again led me astray from the right ecological path. This time it's agricultural. The figures claim that before destroying our country with GMOs, these insidious Americans used genetic weapons against another nation. Namely, against yourself. In the USA, almost 70 million hectares are planted with transgenics – much more than in any other country in the world. And for how many years Americans have been eating mutant corn, watering it with ketchup from mutant tomatoes. And nothing. Life expectancy is still growing.

Of course, the number of people with Parkinson's or Alzheimer's in the United States has become noticeably higher. It can be attributed to transgenics (computers, tomographs, vaccinations – who is excited about what). And you can once again look at boring statistical tables and reports, after which it becomes clear that Parkinson's and Alzheimer's come to our heads at a very old age. It is still necessary to live up to it, which is obtained in developed countries thanks to the victory over infections and other ailments.

Of course, progress carries a lot of dangers. But it still remains less dangerous than the lack of progress. Even such a perversion as an atomic bomb claimed fewer lives than the Khmer Rouge killed with hoes in Cambodia. By the way, by today's standards, these guys had an extremely eco-friendly consciousness.
