A delegation of California businessmen and investors will visit Moscow and Kazan. Among the organizers of the forum are RUSNANO, the Russian Venture Company, the Skolkovo Foundation ("Foundation for the Development of the Center for the Development and Commercialization of New Technologies"), Global Technology Symposium, Silicon Valley Bank, the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan. The purpose of the forum is to use the experience of innovative entrepreneurs and venture funds of Silicon Valley to create global companies based on high–tech ideas.

"Russia is a very valuable and important partner for California. Our cooperation is aimed at developing the economy of both California and Russia. I am sure that during the Forum you will be simply shocked by the achievements of California and what we can offer you. Well, we, in turn, expect equally amazing proposals from Russia," Arnold Schwarzenegger believes.

"Russia has made a firm choice in favor of innovative development. In close working contact with the world's leading venture funds and high–tech entrepreneurs, our country is ready to create a new success story - the Russian one. And the high–tech companies of Silicon Valley, one of the world's innovation centers, are a worthy example for the younger generation of Russian scientists and businessmen," said Russian Education Minister Andrei Fursenko.

"Working meetings of representatives of the investment and business communities of the USA and Russia are becoming a tradition (this event is the third in the last six months). This clearly illustrates the mutual interest of our countries in cooperation in the field of innovative development. The first practical results of cooperation are evident: joint high-tech projects are being implemented, new international investment funds are being created. I am confident that by combining financial resources and human potential, we will be able to launch an innovative economy mechanism in Russia, effectively realize the technological and market potential of high technologies," said Anatoly Chubais, CEO of RUSNANO.

"There are almost no experienced, reliable and globally recognized companies successfully operating in the venture capital market on a global scale in Russia today. They have yet to be created, they need to grow their staff, conduct successful transactions at least at the local level and, finally, enter the world market both with investments and with their portfolio companies," said Igor Agamirzyan, CEO of Russian Venture Company OJSC. – "Therefore, Russian innovative companies and funds should have direct access to the latest tools and practices of venture investment. At the same time, it is necessary that international funds and companies see Russian market participants as partners with a reputation as reliable professionals."
