Deputy Minister Sergey Kraevoy spoke at the presentation of the Russian assisting robotic surgical complex

A presentation of an assisting robotic surgical complex was held in the building of the International News Agency "Russia Today". During the presentation, its characteristics and functions were presented. As part of an experimental surgical operation, specialists demonstrated the capabilities of the complex, which was developed with the support of the Moscow State Medical and Dental University named after A. I. Evdokimov, the Institute of Design and Technological Informatics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other state institutions.

"This is not traumatic, and today it was said that if during some operations the blood loss in prostates is from one and a half to two liters, then 20-50 ml of blood loss is possible here. This is biologically significant, because we remove only what needs to be removed and what needs to be removed. Now there is a transition to the cellular level," Sergey Kraevoy noted during the opening of the presentation.

It is worth emphasizing the possibility of a significant increase in the accuracy and rigidity of the design, which allows the development to be used for different types of surgical interventions. The digital platform of the complex allows you to use the capabilities of artificial intelligence – both during planning and during the operation.

In addition to the above qualities, the complex allows for interventions with a resolution at the maximum – cellular level. Such characteristics are not available to foreign analogues.

"We need to understand that we will not be able to do without this in the future. This is an indicator of the quality, completeness, and effectiveness of medical care that our citizens should receive. But there is still one very important component here – this is that the "heart" of this robot is domestic. It consists of domestic components, it is based on a domestic information system, it was created by our domestic scientists, and therefore we can not only be independent, we have, in fact, turned the page," Sergey Kraevoy stressed.

Also during the presentation, Dmitry Pushkar, chief freelance specialist-urologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of Urology of the Moscow State Medical University named after A.I. Evdokimov, told about the features and uniqueness of the development, together with Sergey Sheptunov, Director of the Institute of Design and Technological Informatics of the Russian Academy of Sciences: "Many have witnessed how my work goes at the console, being nearby. Thanks to the new development capabilities, we can conduct operations together! Only we have this opportunity, and nowhere else."
