The Innovation and Investment Salon opens today
The X Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments will open on September 7Press Service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation
On September 7, 2010, at 14:00, the jubilee X Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments will be opened in Gostiny Dvor. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Vladimir Miklushevsky, Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and High-Tech Technologies Academician Valery Chereshnev, representatives of International Federations of Inventors and innovators, science and technology attaches of foreign embassies are expected to participate in the opening ceremony of the Salon.
The Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments is Russia's oldest scientific and technical forum for developers and manufacturers of high–tech products, as well as investors interested in implementing innovative projects. The salon has been held annually since 2001 and invariably attracts a large number of participants, exhibitors, and visitors.
Among the participants of the X Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments are research centers and industrial enterprises, universities, technology parks, small and medium–sized businesses of Russian regions, science cities, centers of international scientific, technical and innovative cooperation.
The exposition will present the results of the implementation of federal target programs, including the Federal Target Program "Research and Development in priority areas of development of the scientific and technological complex of Russia for 2007-2012", the Federal target program "Development of the infrastructure of the Nanoindustry of the Russian Federation for 2008-2011", the Federal target program "National Technological Base for 2007-2011", the Federal target program "Development of electronic component base and radio electronics for 2008-2015", Federal Target Program "World Ocean". Organizations under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education and Science will present their developments at the Salon: Federal State University Technological Institute of Superhard and New Carbon Materials, Federal State Unitary Enterprise Central Research Institute of Structural Materials "Prometheus", Russian Research Center "Kurchatov Institute", Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State Research Institute of Genetics and Breeding of Industrial Microorganisms", etc.
The salon will present more than 500 developments in the following areas: atomic and nuclear physics; human safety, protection and rescue; biotechnology and bioengineering; environmental protection; information technology; mechanical engineering; medicine and healthcare; metallurgy; metrology; nanotechnology and new materials; optics and laser technology; instrumentation and robotics; agriculture; food and chemical industry; communication systems; transport; electronics; power engineering and electrical engineering.
The business program of the Salon includes about 40 different events, including presentations of innovative projects and products of Russian and foreign exhibitors. About 500 applications have already been submitted for participation in the traditional Competition of innovative developments and technologies, the purpose of which is to determine the most promising and ready-to-use innovations.
Summing up the results of the competition and the award ceremony will take place on September 9, 2010.
