The most innovative companies in Russia
The National Association of Innovation and Development of Information Technologies (NAIRIT) has prepared a rating of the TOP 50 most innovative companies in Russia. His methodology was based on the Internet voting of the general innovative public. The rating, as expected, was headed by well-known developers of intelligent software: Yandex, Kaspersky Lab, Abbyy and Cognitive Technologies. Interestingly, the winner of the Yandex rating has repeatedly increased the level of intelligence of his search engine by acquiring overly abstruse programs from Cognitive Technologies and Abbyy, which gave him leadership.
Sistema, the only major corporation in the top ten, is in a comfortable 5th place.
The presence in the top ten of such popular Internet companies as Mail.ru , Vkontakte and <url> Closes the top ten leader in the creation of space technology RSC Energia. It should be noted that almost all the creators of domestic aviation equipment are also located in the first part of the rating.
It turned out to be a curious fact that, according to the people, large raw materials corporations turned out to be far from the concept of innovative, although, according to official data, the expenses of the same Gazprom in 2009 for R&D amounted to more than 30 billion rubles. The first of the major raw materials companies, OAO LUKOIL, is only in 17th place in the rating. Gazprom is on the 28th, and Rosneft is on the 40th.
In the second part of the table were the giants of metallurgy (the best of them – OJSC MMK – on the 29th position) and chemistry (Eurochem – 26th place).
Domestic auto enterprises have not sunk to the bottom. The best of them – KamAZ – was already in 21st place, ahead of Megafon and Comstar. Probably, the success of our trucks at the Paris-Dakar rally had a serious impact on the respondents' votes. The closing list of UAZ motorists is located on the 34th place, which is better than the indicators of such raw materials producers as Tatneft and Transneft (43 and 47 places, respectively).
The only representative of network companies in the ranking – X5 Retail Group – in fact closed the table of participants, being in 49th place.
The rating was carried out in two stages. At the first stage, a general list of companies that, according to public opinion, are the most innovative was compiled. It was attended by 1,241 respondents from 27 regions of the country. Companies connected with financial support of innovations were deliberately excluded from the list of candidates: JSC "Rusnano", JSC "RVC", venture funds and financial structures.
At the second stage, the participants of the list were ranked by Internet voting in accordance with their level of innovation. More than 4,500 respondents took part in the study.
