Do not rush to wash your face with bleach!

Scientists: bleach turned out to be an effective remedy for skin aging

Scientists from Stanford University (Stanford University), located in California, stunned the public with the results of their discovery: it turns out that bleach can stop skin aging.

Forget about expensive creams to moisturize the skin and smooth out wrinkles – there is a much more effective and cheaper remedy in your bathroom, the British tabloid Daily Mail reports.

Pay attention to the first phrase in the title of the original note Don't try this at home! Scientists find a new way to stop skin aging – heavily diluted BLEACH and the last paragraph of the translation! – VM.

Scientists from Stanford University have found out that diluted bleach is a real cure for skin damage caused by radiation therapy, excessive sun exposure or aging.

Scientists note: for decades, doctors have known that diluted bleach helps alleviate the condition of patients with severe forms of eczema, but did not understand why this happens.

"Initially, it was believed that due to its antimicrobial properties, bleach destroys bacteria and viruses on human skin. However, the concentrations of this substance used were too insignificant to seriously consider such a theory. Therefore, we wondered – what is the power of bleach, after all," says Dr. Thomas Lang (Thomas Leung).

To this end, the researchers conducted an experiment with mice exposed to radiation and found that bathing in a bleach solution significantly reduced damage to their skin. Further tests showed that small doses of bleach block the chemical that causes an inflammatory reaction.

"This pathological process is vital for fighting infection, but an overreaction can lead to damage to the cellular structures of the body. And only 0.005% bleach solution is able to suppress the development of an inflammatory reaction," explains Thomas Lan.

The researchers plan to continue clinical trials in humans to find out which diseases can be defeated by taking bleaching baths.

"It is quite possible that in addition to radiation dermatitis, such procedures will help heal other wounds, such as diabetic ulcers. In addition, we will try to identify other ways of using hypochlorite. Thus, the bleach solution can become an inexpensive and safe medicine," Lan believes.

However, despite the optimistic results of research, scientists categorically forbade the use of bleach at home, since the incorrect concentration of the solution can lead to severe burns.
