Germany has compiled a list of products and things in case of an epidemic

In Germany, a list of products and things that you need to have in case of the spread of the coronavirus epidemic and quarantine in this regard has been published.

The list was compiled by the Federal Agency for the Protection of Civilians and Disaster Relief. In case of a 10-day quarantine, Germans are recommended to have the following supplies at home (per person): 20 liters of drinking water, 3.5 kilograms of cereals, bread, potatoes, pasta and rice (total), 2.5 kilograms of canned vegetables and nuts, 4 kilograms of dried fruits and canned fruits, 2.6 kilograms of milk and dairy products, 1.5 kilograms of meat, fish, eggs or egg powder, 0.4 kilograms of fats and vegetable oil. In an acceptable amount – ready-made products: sugar, honey, flour, broth cubes, dry biscuits, chocolate.

Such a volume of products provides the needs of 2,200 kcal per day for an adult for ten days. In addition, the mandatory home kit should include: a supply of medicines, candles, a gas burner, a lantern, batteries, a disinfectant.

The number of confirmed cases of infection with the COVID-19 coronavirus in Germany has increased to 22, one new case was recorded in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, ZDF TV channel reported on Thursday, citing a clinic in Dusseldorf.

On December 31, 2019, the Chinese authorities informed the World Health Organization about an outbreak of unknown pneumonia in the city of Wuhan in the central part of the country (Hubei Province). Experts have identified the causative agent of the disease – this is a new coronavirus. WHO recognized the outbreak as an emergency of international importance and gave the disease an official name – COVID-19. The number of infected in mainland China has already exceeded 78 thousand people, 2715 died, almost 30 thousand were cured.

At a briefing on Wednesday, German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said that the country is preparing for an increase in cases of COVID-19. The German Foreign Ministry said that there are no recommendations on restricting visits to the north of Italy for German citizens yet.
