Alfa-Capital will be engaged in venture and direct investments

The Management Board of Alfa-Capital Management Company has decided to create a block of direct and venture investments in the Company. Venture funds are aimed at investing in the authorized capital of medium and small innovative companies in the amount of 25% of their capital.

Companies applying for investment should work in priority industries and have a developed business strategy. The priority sectors for investing funds are those that will develop most dynamically after the end of the economic crisis and will bring the highest possible return on invested capital. Among such industries, the experts of the Alfa-Capital Management Company identified information technologies, biotechnologies, energy and nanotechnology. Investing in innovative companies will allow investors to diversify their investment portfolio and receive significant income from the capitalization of innovative companies.

According to Alexander Goncharenko, Deputy General Director of Alfa-Capital Management Company, in the near future, high-net worth and corporate clients of the Company will be offered shares of venture funds. "Now is the right time to create venture funds, because during the crisis, enterprises are focused on reducing costs and are ready to more actively apply cost-effective innovative technologies in their activities. Stable demand for innovative products and technologies will significantly increase the capitalization of companies operating in this area after the end of the economic crisis and will allow investors to receive substantial income. The company is already forming a pool of innovative projects to attract investment and form a venture fund. The main benefit for the investor lies in the high diversification of the fund's investments and the use of joint expertise of the management company and partner organizations in assessing the prospects of the project," notes Alexander Goncharenko.
