"Biotechmed-2017" started in Gelendzhik

The second annual conference "Biotechmed" has officially started its work in Gelendzhik today. During the event, it is planned to discuss the formation of the biomedicine and biotechnology market in Russia. Rostec State Corporation is the strategic partner of the conference.

The conference was opened by the plenary session "Market formation in the field of biomedicine and biotechnology in the Russian Federation". The participants of this session discussed the specifics of the investment climate and the development of the innovation infrastructure of the Russian biotechnology market. The plenary session was moderated by Kirill Kaem, Vice President of the Skolkovo Foundation, Executive Director of the biomedical technologies cluster. Among the speakers of the event is Vasily Brovko, Director for Special Assignments of Rostec State Corporation.

"This year Gelendzhik will once again become the main expert platform for discussing the most pressing issues in the field of healthcare, technology and innovation. For the second year, the participants of the Biotechmed conference have been meeting to exchange views and determine priorities. Our task is to form a unified vision of the problems and opportunities for the development of a new generation of medicine in Russia," commented Vasily Brovko.

Sections on "Innovative biotechnologies in plastic surgery" and sessions on "Promising markets for defense industry enterprises in the field of biomedical technologies" were added to the program of the conference "Biotechmed-2017". In addition, personalized nutrition and genomic selection will be discussed as part of the business program.

Biotechmed is supported by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The event is attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, the Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova and the head of Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov, as well as leading representatives of the industry.

On the first day of the conference, on September 14, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Sergey Tsyb, CEO of the Russian Export Center Peter Fradkov, President of BIOCAD Dmitry Morozov, Director of the Department of Science, Innovation Development and Management of Biomedical Risks to Health of the Ministry of Health of Russia Igor Korobko will take part in the sessions and panels.

Also on September 15, as part of the conference, Tina Kandelaki, the general producer of Match TV, and Eduard Bezuglov, the chief doctor of the Russian national football team, will speak about sports medicine.
