Pensioners have become victims of fraudsters

Department of Internal Affairs for the Western Administrative District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of MoscowThe Investigative Department of the Department of Internal Affairs for CJSC GU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 4 of Article 159 4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on a particularly large scale) on the facts of embezzlement of funds from citizens under the pretext of selling a device for improving vision "Rainbow – ZL".

In advertising messages posted in the media, citizens were invited to contact 8-800-333-80-50 to purchase this device. After making a call to the specified number, the attackers became aware of the phone number of potential victims.

Calling citizens, as the elderly were vaccinated, the criminals, in addition to the device for improving vision "Rainbow – ZL", offered to purchase biologically active additives and talked about a new method of diagnosing diseases from hair and nail samples, offering to send their samples by mail. After that, those who agreed to take the test in this way were informed about the presence of serious diseases that required urgent treatment and hospitalization.

To pay for treatment, as well as purchased dietary supplements and a device for improving vision "Rainbow – ZL", the criminals offered to transfer funds for their payment by postal orders and blitz transfers to the following names:

  • Isakov Andrey Evgenievich;
  • Lapteva Ekaterina Gennadievna;
  • Sorokina Olesya Evgenievna;
  • Kazamukova Ruzanna Yurievna;
  • Grachenkova Maxim Viktorovich;
  • Stukonog Oleg Anatolyevich
  • and other persons.

After receiving the funds, the criminals refused to fulfill their obligations to provide treatment, or offered the victims to transfer additional funds as compensation for previously supplied dietary supplements.

Investigators have reason to believe that more than 500 people living in different places of Russia have become victims. The total damage caused to citizens can be about 30000000 rubles.
