Once again about diet and heart health

As Canadian doctors have established, regular and prolonged consumption of high-calorie fatty dishes typical of Western cuisine with prolonged heat treatment - fried meat, eggs, potatoes and a variety of salty snacks - causes a third of all heart attacks! Researchers from the University of Ontario interviewed 16,000 residents of 52 countries, including 5,700 people who had recently suffered a heart attack, about their way of eating over the past few years.

Statistical analysis of the collected data showed that the "Western diet" rich in meat, eggs, salted and fried vegetables is largely responsible for about a third of all heart attacks! With regular consumption of fried and high-calorie foods without vegetables and fruits, the risk of heart disease increased by 35%. The "Oriental diet", characterized by a small amount of meat and oils, short heat treatment, as well as a large number of vegetables and fruits, reduces the risk of such diseases by 30%.

Conclusion: if you want to have a healthy heart, avoid half-kilogram steaks, reduce to a minimum the frying time of meat products and the amount of fat used in this case, replace fried potatoes with rice, do not pour oil on salads and eat more fruit!
