A vessel with 3.5 liters of liquid was removed from the tomb of a noble family in the city of Luoyang. The find had an "alcoholic aroma", and the archaeologists considered that alcohol was in front of them. Laboratory examination showed that the drink contains potassium nitrate and alunite. In ancient Taoist texts, these substances are mentioned as ingredients for a "life-giving potion," scientists note. In the tomb with an area of about 210 square meters, researchers also found jade and copper products. Experts do not yet know who the person buried in this grave was during his lifetime, but the artifacts found are considered attributes of a representative of the ancient Chinese nobility.
