Russia's first plant for the production of DNA analysis kits will open near Obninsk
Tomorrow, October 31, at the site of the Niarmedic Pharma plant (be sure to click on the link! – VM), located on the territory of the village of Malanino, is expected to open a unique full-cycle production of reagents for the genetic identification of a person's personality and the establishment of kinship.
The project was implemented with the support of the State Industrial Development Fund of the Russian Federation.
The scope of the manufactured products is the determination of the genetic profile of a person by specific DNA sections, massively used in the investigation of crimes, the consequences of disasters, as well as other genetic studies.
It is worth noting that this event is truly unique not only for our region, but for the whole country as a whole. Since today the domestic market of identity identification is monopolized by foreign manufacturers. More than 90% of the market is occupied by test systems manufactured in the EU and the USA. The implementation of this project will reduce the state's dependence on imported test systems to at least 50%.
The main consumers of DNA analysis kits in Russia today are: the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation - forensic laboratories, the FSB of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The opening ceremony will be attended by the Governor of Kaluga Region Anatoly ARTAMONOV, Director of the Industrial Development Fund Roman PETRUTSA, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Sergey TSYB and other officials.
