A smart bra will prevent you from "getting into trouble"

A bra has been created to protect against overeating

<url>A research team from Microsoft, the University of Rochester (USA) and the University of Southampton (USA) has developed sensors embedded in a bra that allow you to monitor stressful states and give signals about the danger of overeating.

According to an article published on the University of Rochester website, five researchers led by Mary Czerwinski from Microsoft decided to test how awareness of their behavior affects overeating. To do this, they created an application for a smartphone that gives a signal when the user's mood worsens, and gives advice on how to proceed.

The researchers judged the mood using sensors placed in the bra. These are sensors that take an ECG, measure the electrical conductivity of the skin, which changes with excitement and stress, as well as a gyroscope and accelerometer. The signals from the "smart bra" were sent to the smartphone, which, in case of danger, sent stress notifications and advised to think and breathe instead of eating.

According to the researchers, their algorithm is able to recognize the excitement with an accuracy of 75%.

The bra was used because of the possibility of recording a cardiogram near the heart. According to the researchers, the attempt to create underwear for men that helps in the fight against stress has not yet been crowned with success.
