Action "Subscribe for life"
Five hundred signatures were collected in St. Petersburg in support of the initiative "Movement against Cancer" on the inclusion of a highly aggressive form of breast cancer in the list of diseases for which expensive medicines are purchased at the expense of the federal budget of the Russian Federation.
Such data as of March 13 was provided by a member of the initiative group of the Movement Anna Larionova. Among the active participants in collecting signatures is a junior medical staff worried about the fate of sick women.
In addition to residents and guests of St. Petersburg, visitors to the Movement's website subscribe to the appeal to the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Health Committee of St. Petersburg - in a special electronic window. 84 men and women from different regions of Russia, neighboring countries, not only leave a signature, but also express their attitude to the action of the Movement.

"The state is obliged to provide free treatment to all cancer patients. Quotas for treatment are legalized murder! The abolition of the death penalty for criminals is a mockery in this context. It turns out that women and children are less valuable to the state than murderers and rapists. M.V., Moscow".
According to Anna Larionova, most patients of medical institutions, visitors of shopping centers, just passers-by are sympathetic to the initiative and leave their signatures. Among them there were many who themselves want to become a member of the Movement and take part in its first School of Patients. It will be held on March 21 in St. Petersburg, at the Research Institute of Oncology named after prof. N.N. Petrov.
Recall that the initiators of the signature collection campaign aimed to achieve the inclusion of a highly aggressive form of breast cancer (with hyperexpression by HER-2 factor) in the federal program "Seven Nosologies". This is already possible as part of the 2009 budget adjustment.
About a third of all women with breast cancer suffer from its highly aggressive form, which can kill a person in a matter of months. Even the detection of such cancer requires special testing, and treatment with conventional drugs is useless. Officially in Russia, the diagnosis of "breast cancer with hyperexpression by HER-2 factor" was made to 3425 women. In reality, there are much more of them. Innovative medicines can save these women from a tragic outcome. Families cannot afford to pay for a course of treatment exceeding one million rubles. The funds allocated by the state under the program to provide certain categories of citizens with the necessary medicines (ONLS) were enough to purchase medicines for only 359 women. Thousands of women, their families, and children can only hope that only one line will be added to the country's budget.
The promotion will be held until April 20. According to its results, the collected signatures with the appeal will be transferred to the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation and other state authorities. The Movement plans to hold similar actions in Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow.
