International NanoMed 2009
On March 4-6, 2009 in Berlin, Germany, experts from all over the world will gather at the largest forum in the biomedical industry, the NanoMed 2009 Conference – the Sixth International Conference on Biomedical Applications of Nanotechnology (NanoMed 2009 – the 6th International Conference on Biomedical Applications of Nanotechnology) in order to discuss the state of affairs in the development of nanotechnology for medicine and biology.
The conference will be held in the Large Lecture Hall of the Berlin Charite Clinic.
The conference is organized by two leading German nanotechnology societies: cc-NanoChem e. V. and NanoBioNet e. V.
Applications in medicine and healthcare are the fastest growing branches of nanotechnology. Almost every day there is information about new sensational results. Many nanomedical concepts are already undergoing clinical trials, and the first medical products have already been recognized by the competent authorities.
The series of nanomedical conferences dates back to 1999 and has grown into one of the largest European events in this field. The conference program covers all issues of nanomedicine, including, among others, the development of pharmaceuticals, the controlled release of new drugs, new concepts of cancer treatment, the latest materials in dentistry, bionalysis and diagnostic technology, nanomaterials for implants and regenerative medicine, etc. This time, much attention is expected to be paid to the issues of potential risks and responsible use of nanomaterials.
The focus of the current NanoMed 2009 will be on nanomaterials that have already entered the market or are expected in the near future. Therefore, developments in the field of intellectual property, financing of nanotechnology projects, settlement of business relations, clinical trials, technology transfer and strategic cooperation between academic researchers, technology developers and the pharmaceutical industry are of particular interest. The conference program also includes an exhibition of products and services in the field of nanobiology and medicine.
