The Fund for Assistance to the Development of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere will support 500 startups in 2012
The main goal of the START program is to assist innovators seeking to develop and master the production of a new product, product, technology or service using the results of scientific and technological research. The program is carried out in five directions:
According to the START program, applications are being accepted in five priority areas:
- information technology;
- medicine of the future;
- modern materials and technologies of their creation;
- new devices and hardware complexes;
- biotechnology.
Within the framework of the "START" program, applications for research and development (R&D) are accepted from companies not older than 3 years, related to small business entities.
Small innovative enterprises established at universities and scientific organizations in accordance with the 217-FZ of August 2, 2009, will receive the maximum score when assessing their qualifications.
According to the "START" program, R&D projects lasting up to 3 years can be supported. The amount of funding from the Assistance Fund is up to 6 million rubles, including up to 1 million rubles for the first year, up to 2 million rubles for the second year and up to 3 million rubles for the third year of the project. The transition to the second and third years of financing is also carried out on a competitive basis and only if the project executor achieves the previously announced results. At the same time, from the second year, extra-budgetary funds should be attracted to the financing of the project on a parity basis.
