The special nomination of the Helsnet NTI direction was established in GenerationS-2017
Within the framework of the largest in In Russia and Eastern Europe, the GenerationS startup accelerator from RVC has established a nomination in the field of medical services and medicines. The best project will be considered by the Helsnet Working Group of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) for inclusion in the NTI roadmap, and will receive comprehensive infrastructure, administrative and financial support.
Entrepreneurs with biotechnological and medical developments to improve human health and quality of life can take part in a special nomination. Within the framework of GenerationS, ideas are being sought in the areas of new technologies of molecular genetic diagnostics for the prevention and therapy of diseases, medicines and methods of gene therapy, regenerative medicine technologies, products for the control of antibiotic resistance, the development of personalized medicines.
To be selected among the future participants of the NTI roadmap in the direction of Helsnet, projects must correspond to the directions of Biomedicine or Medical Genetics of the roadmap, have an innovative component, be oriented to the international market, have a competent team and a detailed commercialization plan.
The Helsnet NTI roadmap is aimed at finding solutions for preventive medicine, sports and health, medical genetics, information technologies in medicine, healthy longevity and biomedicine. According to forecasts, the volume of the global Helsnet market will increase to $9 trillion by 2035, the Russian share will be at least 3% of the global volume.
"Biomedicine and medical genetics are science-intensive areas that require startups to have a serious scientific base and infrastructure for development. Generations and accelerator partners give developers access to these resources. Thanks to the establishment of the special nomination Helsnet NTI, GenerationS participants will receive a powerful incentive for growth," said Mikhail Antonov, Deputy General Director — Director for the Development of RVC Innovation Infrastructure.
The federal startup accelerator GenerationS-2017 is accelerating in seven areas: improving the efficiency of agriculture and solutions in the field of new medicines (Agro&MedTech); new media, fashion, design and entertainment (Creative); energy (Power&Energy); banking and financial services (FinTech); metal processing, mining equipment management and raw materials quality management (Mining&Metals); implementation of smart production and systems (TechNet); technologies developed for the civilian sphere, with prospects for use in the creation of weapons, military and special equipment (Dual Technologies).
