Pharmbiomed – 2015

The SKOLKOVO Foundation in conjunction with the First Moscow state medical University named after I. M. Sechenov, the St. Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy, the Fund of assistance to development of small forms of enterprises in scientific-technical sphere, and also the pharmaceutical company "Sanofi" announces the start of accepting applications for the contest "Farmbiomed".

Competition "Farmbiomed" is a joint initiative of the innovation center, universities, research institutions and the pharmaceutical industry to attract the most promising projects in the field of development of new drugs and diagnostic tests for the purpose of mentoring support their development.

The value of a collaborative approach is the synergy of scientific and academic expertise on the one hand, and technological, investment, commercial and didactic competencies on the other. A collaborative approach is important to support the innovative activities of the scientific staff, and assistance in the implementation of the results of intellectual activities to the academic environment in production, the creation of a sustainable system of interaction with industrial partners.

Target audience: scientists and groups of scientists, University professors and employees of research organizations, small innovative enterprises at Universities as well as independent scientists and entrepreneurs interested in the commercialization of their intellectual labor.

• Medicines for the treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Diagnostic tests

• PCR tests, biochips, and software for the interpretation of the data;

Timing

Accepting applications for participation in the competitive selection is carried out from 19 March 2015 to 11 may 2015. The competition is held in 3 stages. The first stage is a preliminary examination of the draft terms of the competitive selection.

Then, the selected projects will be evaluated by an expert jury, consisting of academic, clinical and industrial experts.

The finalists will be given the opportunity to participate in mentoring sessions of the SKOLKOVO Foundation, where they will be able to prepare for the final phase of the project.

The final competition will be held in the framework of the Startup Village 2015 3 June 2015.

Applicants with projects will be invited to take part in the session, which includes a five-minute presentation of projects in the free form.

The results of the selection of the best projects will be able to benefit from mentoring support of the jury for the further development of the project concept, get advice on the status of SKOLKOVO resident, assistance in finding tools to further funding and/or commercialization.
