AST publishing house suspended the sale of the book "To vaccinate or not to vaccinate? Or, just think, an injection! Myths about vaccination" by blogger and anti-vaccination specialist Anton Amantonio.

His work was criticized by doctors. According to them, the author took only those scientific studies that confirm his point of view, Interfax reports.

The press service of the publishing house called its decision to suspend the sale of the book "an unprecedented step." The AST explained that they had published the book, as "they provide an opportunity to make an argument for this or that opinion to completely different authors, subject to compliance with the legislation of Russia."

Amantonio's book was published in early February. The blogger claims that "there is not a single competent study that confirms the safety of vaccines."

"In this book you will find information about scientific research, which is often kept silent by the media and health authorities. Only scientific facts about vaccination are given here, with almost no comments from the author. Read, think, draw conclusions," the annotation says.

Amantonio claims that over the past three years he has read more than 2 thousand scientific studies. In his opinion, "opponents" are trying to ban his book, as they are unable to "refute the facts given in it." He noted that his articles about vaccinations were tried to "expose" only three times. At the same time, he was able to argue his position.

A member of the health protection committee, Alexander Petrov, suggested reading Amantonio's book to find out whether such information could harm people's health.

40-year-old Amantonio lives with his family in Israel and develops algorithms for satellite communications. According to him, if a law on mandatory vaccination is adopted in Israel, he and his family will move to another country.

In April 2019, the Ministry of Health began preparing a bill prohibiting calls to refuse vaccinations. Social networks are already deleting anti-vaccination posts as part of the fight against false information.
