Specialists from Sandstone Diagnostics have developed a special device that will help men count the number of sperm at home, not in the laboratory. 

The small Trak device is already approved for use in the USA.

Trak is a portable centrifuge, which is easy and simple to use. 

A small amount of semen must be placed in a special disposable cartridge, after which the cartridge must be placed inside the centrifuge.

After centrifugation, the seminal fluid is divided into several fractions, and the spermatozoa fill a transparent thin container, being placed in it like mercury in a thermometer. 

There are marks on the container indicating a low, average or optimal number of spermatozoa.

There is also a special smartphone application combined with the device. With its help, you can track the number of spermatozoa in dynamics, and also compare these indicators with the average for the population.

While it is impossible to purchase such a device, but the developers are confident that it will become widespread – already now users reserve their first devices to buy them immediately after the start of sales.
