Kombivichvak remains in the demo version
The AIDS vaccine was presented at the BioKirov Forum
Navigator-Kirov.RU The third international economic forum "BioKirov" was successfully held in Kirov.
If last year the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev became his guest, then this time Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich participated in the events of the forum.
Enterprises working in various fields of biotechnology were able to present real achievements in this field. For example, one of the largest scientific virological and biotechnological centers of Russia, FBUG SSC "Vector", located in the science city of Koltsovo (Novosibirsk region), presented a vaccine against HIV / AIDS "Kombivichvak".
Today it is one of the priority developments of the center. According to the developers, this is the only AIDS vaccine in Russia that has reached the second phase of clinical trials – the study of its properties in humans (the first phase was completed in 2012 – VM). Additional funds are required to conduct the second phase of clinical trials. And with proper funding, the center will be able to complete the tests within two years.
