A multifunctional medical mall, similar to a shopping center, for narrow-profile clinics of small areas, is planned to be built on the territory of the Skolkovo medical cluster, Mikhail Yugai, Deputy General Director of the International Medical Cluster Foundation, told RIA Real Estate.

He recalled that to date, the diagnostic center of the Israeli Hadassah clinic, the Bundan Hospital in South Korea, and the French company Orpea Group, which will build a high-tech rehabilitation center, are already participating in the Skolkovo medical cluster project. Also among the residents is the Spanish clinic Roman Fernandes, which, unlike other residents, needs only 3 thousand square meters.

"To accommodate such compact residents, we plan to build one multifunctional complex, a kind of multifunctional medical mall, similar to a shopping center, where interesting narrowly focused clinics with small areas will be concentrated," Yugai said. According to him, this idea is currently being worked out.

He also informed that the territories of this facility would be interesting for clinics with such specializations as ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, gastroenterology, allergology.

"The center will be able to accommodate institutions of a small area and unite them with a common service in order to optimize their economy," Yugai said.
