The forum on innovative Russian medicines has started its work

The International Forum of the Adam Smith Institute "Development and production of innovative drugs in Russia" begins in Moscow today.

The Adam Smith Institute is a non–profit organization established in 1977. The main income of the Institute is generated through conferences, publications and sponsorship. The topics of the conferences organized by the Institute cover, in particular, such areas as telecommunications and information technology, transport and finance, pharmaceutical industry.

The forum, which will last two days, is dedicated to discussing issues related to the development and production of innovative medicines in Russia. Among the topics of the forum are the problems of development of domestic innovative companies, strategies of international pharmaceutical companies and their role in the development of the Russian research and development sector, the creation and development of clusters of modern pharmaceutical industry and innovative medicine in the regions.

Heads of leading Russian pharmaceutical companies, representatives of venture funds and private equity funds, as well as leading financial experts and consultants will make presentations at the forum.

The key session "Strategies and development of innovative drugs in Russia" will be devoted to assessing the prospects for the development of the innovative drugs market in Russia, as well as a review of the projects implemented and currently being developed in this area.
