The XII Russian Venture Fair returns to the banks of the Neva

The Russian Venture Fair returns to St. Petersburg after a two-year break. More than 200 investors, private equity fund managers, venture capitalists, investment bankers, lawyers and consultants will gather again on November 23-24, 2011 to discuss and find answers to the most pressing questions concerning the development of the Russian private equity and venture investment industry.

The fair today is not only a presentation platform, it is a platform for discussions and exchange of experience of investment business professionals, it is a kind of "club of like–minded people" united by one goal – to contribute to the development of the technological future of Russia.

Among the participants are managers and partners of the largest Russian and foreign venture funds and private equity funds, leading top managers of investment companies and banks, heads of large financial structures, top officials of international corporations, directors and partners of Russian and foreign exchanges.

As part of the business program in the format of interactive discussions and round tables, participants will be able to share practical experience in the field of direct investment and venture capital, discuss common problems and pressing issues, identify effective development strategies for their companies, find new partners and customers, lay the foundation for future business development.

The Program Committee selects speakers especially carefully for the congress part of the Fair, which allows the audience to present existing opportunities for investors and recipient companies of investments and an independent analysis of the factors that determine the future of the private equity and venture capital industry.

In previous years, among the key speakers were "legends" of venture entrepreneurship not only in Russia, but also around the world. Their names speak for themselves: Harry Fitzgibbons, Franklin "Pitch" Johnson, David Giebink, Volker Neuschuetz, Dan'l Lewin, Julian Lighton, Patricia Cloherty and many others.

Over the years, A.A.Fursenko, S.E.Naryshkin, E.S.Nabiullina, R.N.Minnikhanov, A.B.Chubais, I.R.Agamirzyan, O.K.Dergunova, A.M.Karachinsky and many others took part in the Fair.

A special feature of the Fair is the exposition of companies of small and medium capitalization of the high-tech sector of the economy. As the experience of previous Fairs shows, its effectiveness is much higher than that of foreign events – 13% of participating companies have raised capital to develop their business.
