Scientists from the Skolkovo research organization have developed a chip with which a doctor can remotely monitor the condition of the prosthesis and download firmware into it as needed. Monitoring is carried out around the clock, the device allows you not to disturb the owner of the prosthesis, since he does not need to visit a medical institution to change the configuration of the settings at all. The doctor receives all the information about the prosthesis and the patient from the cloud server.

According to the director of the company producing chips and prostheses, Ilya Chekhov, this device is the world's first platform for remote rehabilitation. A doctor supervising several prosthesis carriers at once can go to the online office and get complete and objective information about the condition of patients and medical devices. All indicators change in real time.

So, at the first stage, 25 people from the Irkutsk region took part in the project. All their data is stored in a cloud server, and the information is transmitted over the Internet. The patient can go to bed, and in the morning find that the settings of his prosthesis have already changed. Now Skolkovo specialists are developing a mobile application so that prosthetic wearers can change settings without consulting a doctor.
