One in five doctors believe in the benefits of homeopathy

Every fifth Russian doctor believes in the benefits of homeopathy - the trust in alternative medicine among specialists turned out to be no lower than among other citizens. Only 60% of surveyed doctors were able to say that they do not believe in homeopathy. 

Every fifth doctor surveyed (19%) said that he believes in the benefits of homeopathy, follows from the results of the SuperJob survey. The trust of medical workers in this type of alternative medicine was not lower than that of other Russians: 21% of the total sample reported trust in homeopathy. 

The survey was conducted from September 19 to 21, 2023, and 1,600 respondents over the age of 18 took part. In addition, a separate question on trust in homeopathic remedies was asked separately to 500 doctors.
Only just over half of the doctors surveyed (61%) said they did not believe in homeopathy. Another 20% found it difficult to answer.




Among other Russians 47% of respondents reported disbelief in homeopathy, 32% found it difficult to answer.

Women believe in the benefits of homeopathic remedies more often than men (24% and 17% respectively). The older generation - more often than younger Russians (34% among those over 45 years old, against 12% among citizens under 34 years old). Respondents with higher education believe in homeopathy less often than those who graduated from colleges and technical schools (21 and 29% respectively).
