Circulation and production of biopharmaceutical products in Russia

Conference on "Circulation and production of biopharmaceutical products in Russia: Organizational and legal problems of regulation and control" will be held on February 19-20, 2009 at the Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, located at 84 Vernadsky Ave., Moscow.

Organizers: Roszdravnadzor, the Association of Law Enforcement Officers and Special Services of the Russian Federation, Rospotrebnadzor, the Non-profit Partnership for the Promotion of Healthcare "Scientific Center for Quality Control", LLC "Inopharm", the Interregional Public Organization "Obpotrebnadzor".

The following issues will be considered at the conference:

• Prospects for the development of the biopharmaceutical industry in Russia;
• Pharmaceutical licensing system, ways to improve it;
• Features of regulatory regulation of production and distribution of biopharmaceutical products;
• Prospects for introducing amendments to the Law on medicines;
• Regulatory and legal regulation and quality assurance of immunobiological products;
• Problems of the regulatory framework in the fight against counterfeit, substandard and counterfeit products in the Russian Federation;
• The main legal and organizational problems of combating the falsification of medicines in Russia and the prospects for their solution;
• The possibilities of licensing control to prevent the circulation of counterfeit medicines in Moscow and the Moscow region.

The purpose of the conference is a comprehensive discussion of these issues, as well as the creation of a public council with the participation of representatives of pharmaceutical market enterprises, whose task will be to unite the efforts of pharmaceutical manufacturers and legislative and executive authorities in terms of improving the existing circulation of biopharmaceutical products in the Russian Federation.
