Future of Biomedicine 2015

The Biomedicine Conference will bring together scientists from Russia, the USA, France and Japan

The largest international scientific conference on biomedicine in Russia, Future of Biomedicine 2015 (FOB 2015), will be held at the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok on September 2-7, the university reports.

"The large-scale research forum will be attended by 70 leading scientists in the field of biomedicine from Russia, Great Britain, Japan, USA, Switzerland, France, Canada, Turkey, the Republic of Korea and other countries. The honorary participant of the conference will be crystallographer Ada Yonat (Israel), a Nobel Prize winner, awarded in 2009 for research on the structure and functions of the ribosome," the message says.

The conference is held with the aim of developing international cooperation and research in the field of genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry and biomedical technologies. The working sections will present the latest achievements in the field of molecular medicine, genetics and epigenetics, research of stem cells, cellular behavior and extracellular matrix, structure and functions of chromosomes, biologically active compounds, metabolites and biopolymers.

This is the first conference of such a high level on biomedicine in the territory of the Russian Federation. In addition to the meeting of the world's most famous researchers, the forum of young scientists Future of Biomedicine: Young 2015 (FOBY 2015) will be held within the framework of FOB 2015. Students, undergraduates and postgraduates will have a chance to meet with real "luminaries of science" and present their achievements in the field of molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry and pharmacology.
