Grantech-2015

The International Forum on Deep Grain Processing "Grantech-2015" will be held in Moscow

The Grantech 2015 Forum and Exhibition will be held in Moscow on November 18-19, 2015. The organizer is the Russian Biofuel Association (RBA) with the support of the Russian Technology Platform "Bioindustry and Bioresources – Biotech 2030".

World and Russian experts in the grain processing industry, bioeconomics, scientists, specialists in the automotive and oil industries, agriculture, government officials and the scientific community will gather to discuss practical aspects, problems and prospects of the bioindustry – the production of bio-products with high added value in Russia and the CIS countries.

In 2014, Vladimir Putin announced the development of an import Substitution and export Program: "I am sure that due to the modernization of industry, we will be able to significantly reduce imports, return our own market to national producers. We aim to increase Russian exports of non-energy goods by at least 6% annually. Own production, ensuring food security is an extremely important thing," the President of the Russian Federation said. Deep processing of agricultural products into food products and industrial biotechnology products will reduce imports and increase exports of products such as amino acids, vitamins, feed additives, organic acids.

"Such plants will allow the agricultural producer to get rid of seasonality of production and problems with crop rotation, produce products with high added value, get a stable income throughout the year, especially in conditions of overproduction of grain or sugar beet," RBA President Alexey Ablaev says about the prospects.

The forum is held for the further development of state programs – leading experts will speak on various topics, including:
  • Bioclusters based on deep grain processing plants. Engineering, construction and operation of plants for deep processing of grain with the production of chemical products from starch and sugars.
  • Products of high added value from sugars, molasses, starch and glucose syrups: organic acids (succinic, lactic, etc.), bioplastics, biobutanol and other chemicals.
  • Bioethanol as fuel.
  • Conversion of bioethanol into "non-excisable" products: ETBE, polyethylene, butadiene-1,3 (divinyl), rubbers and others. Green chemistry technologies in the chemical and petroleum industries.
  •  Starches: production and application of modified starches.
  • Lysine, threonine, tryptophan and other amino acids: production in Russia.
  • Practical experience: presentation of projects on deep grain processing.
  • An exhibition will be held within the framework of the Forum.

The following companies will present their expositions: Vetterte, Vogelbusch, Novozymes, Alfa-Laval, GosNIIGenetics, ZAVKOM, MMW and others.

Details are available on the Forum's website.
