Venture Festival in St. Petersburg
We invite you to take part in the Venture Festival, which will be held in St. Petersburg at the site of the Import Substitution and Localization Center from June 21 to 23 and will become one of the largest events for private investors and startups throughout Russia.

Since 2011 The Union of Business Angels Organizations (SOBA) is the organizer of the International Assembly of Business Angels. In 2016, we are expanding the coverage of the venture investors market and, with the support of the Administration of St. Petersburg, represented by the Committee on Industrial Policy and Innovation, we invite venture investors (venture funds and business angels), entrepreneurs, corporations, innovative companies and startups to the Venture Festival.
The aim of the project is to organize an effective communication platform on the basis of which a dialogue is established between science, business, government and investors, whose interaction will help create a breakthrough in the implementation of STI and innovative development of the Russian economy.
Traditionally, the event is held with the official support of the All-Russian Public Organization of Small and Medium-sized Businesses "SUPPORT of RUSSIA", the All-Russian public organization "Business Russia", the National Association of Business Angels, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North-Western Federal District, the Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovation of St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chambers, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of St. Petersburg.
Today, the Venture Festival meets the goals and objectives outlined in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 98-r dated January 27, 2015, namely: support for import substitution and export of a wide range of non-primary, including high-tech goods; assistance to the development of small and medium-sized businesses; creation of opportunities to attract working capital and investment resources. It is these areas that are identified as key in the work of the Venture Festival, including the search and development of high-tech projects, investing in talented youth, creating investment elevators for future strong and competitive Russian companies.
In the program of the Venture Festival:
1. 3-day congress block, the main topics of which will be:
- Interaction of investors and support tools for innovative companies at all stages of development of these companies;
- Creating a favorable climate for investment in early-stage Russian companies;
- Strategies for entering new markets;
- The role of business angels, venture and corporate investors in the development of the venture industry;
- Government support tools;
- Interaction of science, business, government and investors;
- Tools for the development of a successful startup (master classes for entrepreneurs).
3. 1-day startup exhibition, within which a competition of innovative projects will be held.
4. Competition of innovative projects, in which all innovative companies whose product is oriented to the international market and whose investment amount does not exceed 1 million euros are invited to participate. The competition is held jointly with the "SUPPORT OF RUSSIA".
5. 2-day training – "Business Angel School", organized by SOBA for the 3rd time. The result of the courses was the joining of more than 20 investors to business angels.
