School-seminar "Nanobiotechnology"
Students, postgraduates and young (up to 35 years old) scientists! We invite you to take part in the second school-seminar on the newest direction of development of modern science – nanobiotechnology!
From October 14 to October 17, 2009, on the basis of Belgorod State University, with the support of the Federal Agency for Education, within the framework of the federal target program "Development of Nanoindustry Infrastructure in the Russian Federation for 2008-2010", a seminar school "Nanobiotechnology: Problems and Prospects" will work.
The purpose of the school-seminar is, firstly, to improve the quality of training of bachelors, masters and specialists, as well as to improve the qualifications of young scientists studying and working in the direction of "Nanobiotechnology"; secondly, to attract talented young people to participate in promising scientific research in this direction; thirdly, in improving the level of science and education through cooperation and improving the mobility of students, postgraduates and young scientists.
Areas of work of the school-seminar:Fundamental and applied aspects of nanobiotechnology;
- Nanopharmacology, nanomedicine, nanodiagnostics and nanoimplantology;
- Nanobiotechnology in agriculture.
The program of the school-seminar provides: An educational course, within the framework of which lectures and round tables will be given by leading scientists of a number of scientific organizations and universities of the Russian Federation; master classes will be organized in the classrooms and laboratories of Belgorod State University, the Research and Innovation Center for Nanostructured Materials and Nanotechnology of BelSU, the Center for the Collective Use of Scientific Equipment "Diagnostics of the structure and properties of Nanomaterials" of BelSU.
Competition of presentations of innovative projects carried out by students, postgraduates and young scientists under the age of 35. According to the results of the competitive selection, Belgorod State University enters into a contract with each winner for the payment of monetary remuneration. The competition will be held in two stages: correspondence selection based on the submitted abstracts and presentation files and oral presentation of selected projects during the school seminar.
The participants' accommodation is provided and paid for by the Organizing Committee of the school-seminar. The Organizing Committee will also partially compensate the participant's expenses for travel and meals during the school seminar by transferring AFTER the END of the event and approving the report to FAO. The details will be agreed with the registered participants individually.
Participation in the work of the school-seminar
To participate in the work of the school-seminar, you must register on the website of the All-Russian School-seminar by September 27, 2009, filling out Form 1 and Form 2, and attach a file with the abstracts of the report in the appropriate field of the registration form. Abstracts sent by e-mail, fax, letter will not be accepted for consideration. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select abstracts for publication.
Participation in the competition of presentations of innovative projects is optional; those who wish to participate attach a presentation file of their project. Requirements for abstracts and presentations of innovative projects are posted on the website of the All-Russian School-seminar. Personal (full-time) participation of a young scientist in the work of the school-seminar is not a prerequisite for the publication of the abstracts of the report in the Collection of materials of the All-Russian school-seminar.
Publication is possible without personal participation.
In agreement with the Organizing Committee, it is possible to participate in the work of the school without submitting abstracts. The quota of such listeners is limited, the participants who have registered early will have advantages. Instead of a file with abstracts in this case, you should attach a justification for the need to participate in the school seminar (in free form).
Key dates:
- September 10 – start of online registration on the website of the school-seminar;
- September 27 (24-00) – end of online registration;
- October 02 – publication of the list of invited participants;
- October 08 – publication of the list of winners of the correspondence round of the competition of innovative projects that passed the full-time round;
- October 14 – arrival of participants and opening of the school-seminar.
