All-Russian competition for the support of high-tech innovative youth projects

The National Association for Innovation and Development of Information Technologies (NAIRIT) announces an open All-Russian competition to support high-tech innovative youth projects. The winners of the competition will be awarded development grants in the amount of 100 thousand to 1.5 million rubles, depending on the practical significance of the project, the expected effect of its implementation and the current level of its development. The competition is held with the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Young authors of innovative projects related to high-tech sectors of the economy, as well as scientific groups and creative teams where the age of the head and more than 50% of his key participants at the time of application would not exceed 35 years are invited to participate.

Preference will be given to projects relating to the five priority areas of economic modernization identified by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev: improving energy efficiency and resource conservation (including the development of new fuels); medical technologies; modern information technologies and software; nuclear technologies, as well as telecommunications and the space industry (including the GLONASS system and ground infrastructure development programs).

To participate in the competition, you must fill out the established application form directly on the Competition website.

The start date for accepting applications is November 17, 2010, the end date for accepting applications is January 25, 2011 until 18.00 Moscow time. Applications received after the specified date and hour of the deadline for accepting applications are not allowed to participate in the Competition. The projects submitted for the Competition must provide for their implementation in the period from March 2011 to October 2011.

Submitted projects will be evaluated by the competition commission on the basis of their elaboration, scientific novelty and practical significance.

The results of the competition will be announced by the competition commission on March 3, 2011 and posted on the Competition and NAIRIT websites.

NAIRIT pays grants in accordance with the agreement concluded following the results of an open competition held by the State Club Personnel Reserve Training Foundation for the allocation of grants to non-profit non-governmental organizations for the implementation of projects of social significance in the field of support for youth initiatives, projects of youth movements and organizations in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 300-rp of 08.05.2010 "On ensuring state support in 2010 for non-profit non-governmental organizations involved in the development of civil society institutions".
