Contest of ideas in the field of biomedicine

The Foundation for Advanced Research plans to hold an open competition for the best scientific hypothesis (innovative idea) in the field of biomedicine, including for the development of prototypes of breakthrough regenerative technologies within the framework of FPI projects.
Organizations, creative teams, scientists and specialists who are able to plan, conduct breakthrough scientific research and ensure the achievement of qualitatively new results in the field of biomedicine are invited to participate in the competition.
The main purpose of the competition is to select the best scientific hypotheses (innovative ideas) in the field of biomedicine, including regenerative medicine and technologies for managing regeneration processes, as well as performers for breakthrough scientific research associated with a high degree of risk of achieving qualitatively new results at the expense of the Advanced Research Fund.
Preference will be given to original scientific hypotheses (innovative ideas) with non-standard approaches to solving scientific tasks based on fundamental biological knowledge.
It is planned to conclude agreements with the winners of the competition granting them the right to participate in research funded by the Federal Research Institute in the field of biomedicine, the subject of which corresponds to the proposed scientific hypotheses (innovative ideas), or employment in the Target Search Laboratory of Regenerative Technologies, created on the basis of the Phystech School of Biological and Medical Physics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University), having a modern scientific and technical base and competencies in the field of biomedicine.
Detailed information on the organization and conduct of the competition, its informational and methodological support, the form of participation in the competition and the procedure for determining the winners will be posted on the FPI website in the near future.
