RVC launches six corporate accelerators as part of GenerationS-2017

The Russian venture company has identified six areas of the largest in Generations startup accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe for the next three years. During each Generation cycle, the line can be supplemented with special corporate tracks at the request of partners. Startup teams will be able to apply for participation in GenerationS-2017 until September 30.

Together with industrial partners, RVC will form corporate accelerators on the GenerationS platform, providing them with expertise and infrastructure for the development of tools for the "open innovation" model. Currently, the composition of the customers of each of the GenerationS-2017 tracks is being finalized.

The selection of startups and the training of teams will be carried out in the following areas:

• Agro&MedTech – high technologies in biomedicine and agriculture;
• Creative – digital technologies in media, design and culture;
• Power&Energy – Energy Solutions;
• Fintech – financial technologies, services and e-commerce;
• Mining&Metals – developments in metallurgy and mining;
• TechNet – advanced manufacturing technologies.

The submission of applications for participation in GenerationS-2017 will last until the end of September, after which the projects will undergo an online examination - they will be evaluated by technology and business experts, and then reviewed by industrial partners. According to the results of the selection in November, Startup BootCamp will be held for several hundred teams – a full-time intensive with the participation of leading Russian business coaches, mentors and corporate experts. Based on its results, GenerationS partner companies will select the most promising projects for their accelerators.

The work of the GenerationS-2017 corporate tracks will begin in November. As part of the initial training, educational programs developed taking into account the industry specifics of accelerators will be held. After that, the teams will focus on individual work. Then, in constant interaction with industrial partners, they will adjust their products, test business models and prepare projects for market launch. The final of GenerationS-2017 will be held in March 2018.

In addition to the launch of the six main GenerationS tracks, RVC will develop a platform for additional corporate accelerators, which during the year can be organized at the request of partners and integrated into the GenerationS line.

For aspiring technology entrepreneurs, the federal program for the development of early-stage projects – the Pre-Accelerator - will be restarted within the framework of GenerationS-2017. Its participants will be teams with projects at the pre-sowing and seeding stages, which will receive high marks during the online examination and will be of interest to industrial partners. Applicants will be offered to complete online training and a full-time educational program, work on startups to the next stage of development, which will increase their chances of participating in the corporate accelerator in the next year's cycle.

In 2016, the selection and acceleration of GenerationS projects were carried out jointly with 20 Russian companies, including QIWI, Moscow Exchange, VISA, Raiffeisenbank, NPO Saturn, JSC Krastsvetmet, BFC Severny, JSC EuroSibEnergo, AK ALROSA, EFKO Group, Russian Technical Society, Publicis Communications Russia, etc. 120 startup teams became participants of corporate tracks. A month after the completion of GenerationS, more than 50 of them signed cooperation agreements with accelerator partners, launched pilot projects and were able to attract investments.
