Grants 2015 to graduate students to participate in research projects in France
(Irtelis Program)

The Directorate of Life Sciences of the Commissariat for Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Sources of France (CEA) annually offers 20 scholarships in the field of life sciences and biological sciences to French citizens and foreign specialists. Postgraduate students from Russia can participate in the program.

The competition is open until March 27, 2015 (acceptance of applications ends at 12.00 Paris time). Applications are accepted online.

The program participants will be able to take part in the work on interdisciplinary projects with both theoretical and applied specifics, implemented in a consortium of leading universities and research organizations focused on the junction of two relevant research areas – energy and healthcare.

The project is being implemented by eight institutes belonging to the Commissariat for Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Sources of France. CEA research centers are located in the Paris region, Grenoble and in the south of France.

The list of areas of ongoing research includes: radiation biology, toxicology, bioenergetics, energy efficiency studies of processes, the study of normal and pathological biological processes (neurological disorders, cancer, infectious, genetic diseases ...), the development of innovative methods in diagnosis and therapy.

Interviews with applicants for participation in the program who have passed the preliminary selection will take place on May 20-22, 2015.
