Competition for developers of medical sensors "Knowledge is power"

The Institute for Internet Development (IRI), the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Russian Venture Company (RVC) and the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University are holding a competition for developers of medical sensors "Knowledge is Power", reports NT–Inform.

The organizers of the competition invite Russian manufacturers of non–invasive sensors - devices that provide monitoring and remote transmission of information about human health parameters.

Technological startups, small and medium-sized companies, representatives of the scientific community can become participants of the competition.

Applications for the competition will be accepted until November 6, 2016. To participate in the contest, you must submit an application on the contest website.

The competition is held with the support of the United Instrument-Making Corporation (part of the Rostec State Corporation), which provides technological expertise.

The jury of the competition included representatives of the IRI, RVC, the Ministry of Health, the First Moscow State Medical University, who will choose the most promising projects.

The composition of the jury:

·       Nikita Odintsov, Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation;

· Sergey Rumyantsev, Director of the Department of Innovative Development and Scientific Design of the Ministry of Health of Russia;

· Georgy Lebedev, Chairman of the Internet+ Committee Medicine" of the Institute of Internet Development, Head of the Department of Information and Internet Technologies of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Doctor of Technical Sciences;

· Georgy Radzievsky, Associate Professor of the Department of Information and Internet Technologies of KIIT, I.M.Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University;

·       Andrey Vetluzhsky, Head of the Center for Medical Information Systems and Technologies;

· Philip Kopylov, Director of the Institute of Personalized Medicine of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

The competition is aimed at creating a platform for dialogue between sensor developers of various stages with leading corporations, foundations, development institutions, ministries and departments.

According to the results of the competition, five most promising developments will be identified, which will have the opportunity to present their products to interested parties, receive investments, agree on production and proceed to implementation.

It is assumed that the winners will be able to conclude investment contracts worth tens of millions of rubles with both state venture funds and commercial ones.

The best development will be presented at the special section "I + Medicine" of the final annual forum "Internet+ Economy 2016".
