Postdoctoral grants for "-omics"
The Belgian Biological Research Institute in Ghent (VIB) invites young scientists to participate in the 2012 postdoctoral research program.
10 international scholarships in the field of integrative biological research will be offered to young scientists specializing in "omics" technologies: metagenomics, genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics (bioinformatics, metagenomics, genomics, proteomics...).
Participants of the program will be able to conduct research using advanced technologies, in teams of brilliant researchers, at the forefront of science. It is expected that the participants will propose their own research project in integrative biology using the mentioned "omics" technologies.
Scientists from any country of the world are invited to participate in the program. If, prior to the start of the program, the specialist participated in research projects in Belgium, then the total time spent in Belgium should not exceed 12 months over the past 3 years.
The program is implemented with the financial support of the European Commission (European Commission Marie Curie FP7 People Cofund, CORDIS).
The program starts on June 1, 2012. By the beginning of the program, participants must have a PhD degree.
The deadline for submitting applications for participation in the program is August 31, 2011.
