Postgraduate studies in Austria

Grants 2015 for postgraduate studies at the University of Vienna (Austria)

The Vienna University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences invites qualified specialists with a master's degree (or its equivalent, corresponding to the level of education in 300 ECTS) to participate in a competitive selection for postgraduate studies in the direction of Biomolecular Technology of Proteins (BioToP). 

In addition to applicants for participation in the program who have a master's degree, applications for participation in the competition can be submitted by master's students who plan to receive a degree by the end of December 2015. 

Applicants choosing to work on wet-lab projects must have a master's degree in biology, biotechnology, chemistry, medicine or related disciplines. The thesis or master's thesis of this category of contestants should include an experiment. Applicants for participation in dry-lab research projects must have a master's degree in a technical or scientific discipline, a diploma or dissertation work must confirm the skill of analytical work and process modeling. 

To participate in the program, you need a good knowledge of English. The duration of training is three years. The program is funded by the Austrian Science Foundation. The amount of payments to the fellows is € 19.800 per year. Additionally, grants are provided for participation in international scientific conferences. 

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until July 7, 2015. Candidates who have passed the initial selection will be invited to an interview, which will take place from September 27 to September 30, 2015.
