Grants 2015 for PhD studies in Germany

The Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB), located in Mainz (Germany), announces the acceptance of applications for participation in the international PhD program.

The duration of the program is 3 years with the possibility of extension. The program starts in March 2015, the official language of the program is English, participants are required to have a master's degree or its equivalent.

The general theme of the program is “Dynamics of Gene Regulation, Epigenetics and DNA Damage Response". Talented promising specialists who are able to work on research projects at the forefront of biological science as part of highly motivated scientific groups are invited to participate in the competition.

The program is funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation. Participants of the program receive a scholarship that fully covers all living and training expenses.

The application form should be completed in English. Before the deadline for submitting applications, the competition commission must receive two letters of recommendation in support of the applicant by E-mail.

Applicants selected by the commission at the first stage will be invited to a face-to-face interview in Mainz in February 2015.

The deadline for submitting applications is November 8, 2014.
