Sciences and Technologies in Biomedicine: Skoltech invites you to Master's degree
Skoltech will teach biomedical technologies
The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) begins accepting applications from applicants for the 2013 academic year in the specialties "Science and Technology in Biomedicine", "Information Technology", "Science and Technology in Energy". The Master's program in Biomedicine will be the third priority in the training that Skoltech launches next academic year.
Students will be trained in unique interdisciplinary programs that combine scientific and entrepreneurial activities.
Skoltech has developed an innovative development strategy, which is shared by the largest scientists and teachers from around the world. By attracting the best of them, Skoltech provides its students with the opportunity to participate in the most modern scientific developments from the very first days of training.
Bram Kaplan, Director of Student Relations at Skoltech: "Despite its youth, the university already has experience in recruiting students. Our first group has already started training in the areas of information technology and energy. The level of Skoltech students is very high – more than half of them graduated with honors from the strongest Russian universities. We cannot lower the bar and we will recruit the best of the best, ambitious leaders who believe in themselves and dream of creating new technical developments in order to make the world a better place."
Students of Skoltech can become applicants with a diploma of higher education (master, specialist, bachelor) in the specialty of engineer, mathematician, in the field of applied and natural sciences, with high academic performance.
The selection process will consist of two stages: submission of an online application and personal participation in a specially designed final selection seminar - "Selection weekend".
The first stage is an online application must be submitted no later than January 15, 2013. In order to fill out the application form, you need to go to: apply.skolkovotech.ru and follow the instructions.
The applicants selected at the first stage are invited to participate in the "Selection weekend" in March. Individual and group tasks of the final stage of selection are aimed at assessing the personal qualities and skills of applicants.
Skoltech is creating a new generation of innovative scientists in Russia. That is why not only the basic scientific knowledge of applicants is evaluated, but also their creativity, flexibility, leadership qualities, ability to work in a team. Students who successfully cope with the tests conducted during the final selection will be enrolled in Skoltech. They will be able to become part of a unique scientific community and put their wildest ideas into practice.
